Hi! I am Larisa, your cool Russian teacher who jokes around and makes you enjoy learning the most bad-ass language in the world.
Don't worry, I am a real qualified, certified Gigachad.
My teaching approach
To learn Russian, you need to imagine getting ready for a mortal combat with your sworn enemy. You won't go fighting training only once a week, right? So, let me be your personal trainer, master Shifu. I mastered this language when I was just a baby, isn't it impressive? I will make you stay consistent and on track with your learning progress. It is not an easy path, but I will make sure you enjoy most of it.
On average, in order to reach A1 level in Russian, my brilliant students need 120-150 academic hours (depending on their background). Plus 2 hours of work at home per each class. You may need at least 6 month to reach the basic level.
I give a course that includes every aspect of the Russian language and skills development. "Oh no, don't tell me we gonna do grammar". That's right! Reading, writing, speaking, listening. Those guys are like Ninja Turtles, not gonna go anywhere without each other.
Learning Russian is hardcore enough, so why not make it fun and light? When it happens that I have the same vibe with a student, it feels like I have the best job in the world. I will do my best to brighten up this journey for you with my goofiness and sense of humor.
So, you've decided to learn Russian, you open a textbook and the first thing you see is "Здравствуйте, приятно познакомиться!"....Excuse me? Don't worry, if you are a complete beginner, I will teach you how to do the "Ы" thing with your mouth and many others... Well, I will do my best!
And so you've learned a few things, will you remember them? Of course, you will! Russian is so traumatizing... jokes aside, with me you will, because the course I give is based on 6 stages of revision. After we learn new material, we always go back to it every now and then multiple times. We are not gonna learn useless things that you will never come across again. Beginner level has fixed and strict amount of vocabulary, and I follow all the official standards in my teaching.

my students' geography
I was born on the island of Sakhalin (next to Japan) and at the age of 8 finally arrived to Samara where I lived until the age of 20. My whole life I was mesmerized by other cultures and languages. I've studied English, Chinese, French, Italian, Turkish, and I have been teaching some of these languages for 4 years.
After I moved to Italy 2 years ago to study Human Rights, I realized how much I love to exchange cultures with other internationals and how much I miss my language. I met people who studied Russian as a foreign language and it made me wonder how they did it. And my passion brought me to teaching Russian, which I have been doing ever since.
My experience made me realize that cultures and languages are very strong tools. On the one hand, they lead to conflicts but, on the other hand, make us fall in love and grow.
I invite you to fall in love with Russian.
